For the 2026/27 academic year, the maximum amounts are:
- Tuition Fee Loan: up to £9,790 per year (covers your tuition fees directly)
- Maintenance Loan: up to £13,762 per year (London, living away from home), £10,544 (outside London), or £7,110 (living at home), depending on household income
The Maintenance Loan is means-tested - students from lower-income households receive more. The highest amounts go to students living away from home and studying in London.
In addition, some students may be eligible for extra grants:
- Disabled Students' Allowance - for students with a disability, mental health condition, or specific learning difficulty
- Childcare Grant - for full-time students with dependent children
- Parents' Learning Allowance - additional support for students with dependent children
